Eraser - Arnold's Disappearing Parachute

In the scene where Arnold has to jump out of a plane, you can see he is wearing a parachute. However during the free fall, the parachute is nowhere to be seen.

If this is what he meant, then he is still wrong or stupid, whichever of the two, simply because the scene where Arnold jumps out of the plane is completely computer generated. Arnold was standing in front of a blue/green screen for this shot about 5 feet above the ground IN A STUDIO!!! Why would he need a parachute 5 feet above the ground? STUPID!
