When Nadia and Jim are talking, the people watching video say "What are they talking about?" meaning they can't hear them. But when Nadia turns on the radio, the people watching the video can hear it clearly. This is not just a lay-over of the music that the people watching can't hear, because Stifler's little brother is dancing to it.
I hope i'm posting this on the right slip-up i have a very bad short term memory so i don't remember (DUH) but the directors thought that it would be extremly funny if they had the boy imitate the dance, it is just layover music in the original tapeing of this scene the music was just the beatings of drums, also i would like to point out that when stifler hits his bro thats the real crash not a sound effect
Stifler's brother was imitating the dance Jim was doing. Hello? Wake up and actually watch the movie and observe it well, before thinking about making comments about things like that!
Actually, if you listen to the music carefully, when its coming out of the computer where Jim's friends are watching what they thought was a 'private' show, you will notice that the music is rather tinny. No bass, sorta muffled. But might explain why you couldn't hear the voices. Even the music wasn't that loud.
When they say "What are they talking about?" wasn't because they couldn't hear them, it was his friends not understanding why he would be talking to a beautiful girl who is naked on his bed. They wanted him to just go in and get it on, not start up a conversation.
When Finch or Kevin say "what is he talking about?" straight after one of them replies "I have no idea". About the music playing maybe Finch and Kevins' speaker wasn't working.
