Pokemon:The First Movie Novelisation - Name Mix-Up
Turn to pages 66 and 67 of the book. In the third paragraph of page 66, you will notice that someone called Umio appears and commands Corey's Venusaur. That is Corey's Japanese name. In the fifth paragraph of page 67, someone called Sweet appears and commands Neesha's Blastoise. Again, that character's Japanese name.

Also, on the Pikachu's Vacation novelization, on the front cover, there is a picture of all of the Pokémon that were released on that day (the day of the vacation). Starmie is shown, however in the PV on the big screen, Staryu is sent out!
