In the episode where Tess brings them all to the place where they were all created, Max has a flashback to when they were little. When they were in the cavern after they left the pods, Michael has short hair. In another episode when Max is having flashbacks to the day they were found, Michael has his usual long afro-like hair.

Also, Max remembers that they were discovered by the Evans when they were in the forest. However the cavern that they came out of, is in the smack-dab middle of a desert, where there isn't a forest around for miles.
