In the episode "Mr. Monk Goes to the Asylum," when Monk is being admitted, the doctor from the hospital asks Monk why he was buying tomatoes if he (Monk) is allergic to them. Then, in "Mr. Monk and the End- Part One," you see some kind of appetizer on the table (it is at the beginning where Monk is talking to Trudy.) Part of the appetizer is tomato. You see Monk put the tomato on the other part of the tomato and eat it...but he is supposedly allergic to tomatoes?
