After Sonny pops up out of the spare parts bin, Spooner draws his primary weapon, from his shoulder holster, and is disarmed by Sonny, who retains control of Spooner's primary weapon. Spooner then draws a second weapon from an ankle holster, shooting Sonny after he's jumped out of the window, still holding Spooner's "main" gun. After Spooner arrives in the plaza to recover the gun Sonny has dropped, Spooner is seen replacing his primary weapon back in it's holster BEFORE he's picked it up off the ground.
