Close Encounters of the Third Kind - Sorry, I Meant the Other Russian Ship
This may be too trivial for you however it's always disturbed me to no end. In the 'Special Edition' the investigators discover a missing Russian trawler in the (Gobi?) desert. The writing on the hull names it as Cotopaxi which the interpreter pronounces as the Koh-toe-pox-ee. In fact, considering it's written in Cyrillic the name should have been pronounced more like So-toe-rahk-ee, something that the interpreter character should have known or picked up on once he saw it in big letters right in front of him.
