Back To The Future - How Far Did He Travel?
Marty first goes back to 1955. He crashes in Mr. Peabody's barn. As he skids out of the farm, the time is night/almost dawn. Mr. Peabody's farm is the Twin Pines Mall in the future. Marty must live within a mile or so, as he had skateboarded to the location(1985). Just after the "Peabody shooting", Marty comes up to his future neighborhood "Lyon estates" and it is broad daylight. Just how slow did he drive to make a mile stretch of road and the time elapse of 4-5 hours?

Marty may have hidden, afraid of being caught, until daylight. he also may have attempted to hide the delorian in several places, taking up his time, and allowing the sun to rise.

I disagree somewhat. The time he traveled to was sometime in the 6:00 hour. 6:01 am is around dusk for 30 degrees north latitude on October 6, according to The World Almanac. It wouldn't take long for the sun to come up and start to shine fully. Of course, this depends on specifically where in California the town of Hill Valley is (latitude and longitude). Something I noticed when verifying this: he slowed to 49mph after shaking the scarecrow, but then INcreased his speed to 54mph before crashing into the barn. Any thoughts on this?
