In the Season 4 episode Nightmare, Captain Lee Crane boards the Seaview and can't find the crew. Somebody takes a shot at him. Captain Crane catches the intruder and collars him. A clearly alive Lee Crane then asks the man, "Why did you kill me?" David Hedison (the actor who plays the beloved Captain Crane) realized his mistake and quickly said, "Why did you try to kill me?" before just shouting frantically at the man.
