Apocalypse Now. - Anybody Got Any Marshmellows?
The napalm strike called in by Colonel Killgore is bogus. Napalm will spread horizontally from the motion of the canister being dropped by aircraft and then it gradually will rise in the air. In this movie, the "napalm" goes straight up when the special effects guru ignites the stationary gasoline pits. Same thing goes for the napalm strike in "Platoon".
