Cloverfield - Digital or Analog?
At the begining of the movie, whem it shows the US Department of Defense briefing, it says
Document #USGX-8810-B467
Digital SD Card
So it lets us know that the film was recorded on a Digital SD card (not in real life, in the movie), which is very common for modern digital cameras.
But, throughout the film, Rob refers to it as "tape" like when he asks Hud if he is recording over the tape in there, and at the very end when he says there is only 3 seconds of tape left.
