Episode #109 The whole episode is about Lucy learning to drive so that she can help out driving to California. After spending time with Ricky who was trying to teach her to drive, he leaves for work on foot and in a daze from the experience. Lucy tries to show Ethel what she has learned and Ethel crashes the new Pontiac into the old Cadillac. Ethel and Lucy can't separate the two cars, so Lucy gets into the Cadillac to try to drive both cars to a repair shop to get them separated. Ethel asks Lucy right before she drives off, if she knows how to drive that car. Lucy answers, sure that she learned how to drive in a car like that. Huh, isn't the show about teaching her to drive...and she has ALREADY learned. I have seen this several times and been astonished each time.
