Supposedly, if Shrek and Fiona want to stay in their human form, they have to kiss each other before midnight. If it doesn't happen, they will be ogres again. But the Fairy Godmother wants her son to marry Fiona, and asks Shrek to stay away from them, so they can be happy, and that Fiona deserves to be human again. But, Fiona will return to be an ogre if she doesn't kiss Shrek anyway. This will confuse Shrek fans, huh?
