It's hard to spot, but once you've seen this slip-up you won't be able to watch the film in the same light ever again.

The boat has travelled up the river, finally it has reached its destination, Dennis Hoppers character is on the steps/riverbank, and so are about 80-100 Cambodian soldiers. A long shot pans across these Guerilla fighters, a shot establishing their whole existance in this maddening conflict, they are tough native fighters, this is their land, the crew are arriving on their territory, how will this group of men greet them?

Well, as the shot slowly pans from left to right, one cheeky chap right in the middle of shot has decided to smile and open his mouth as wide as he possibly can (so it resembles a black hole) and

then wave at the camera...

ok, the slip up is the film team, and then the editor, but what can you do? This guy had to get his little wave going on... and once you've seen it... you can't take the scene serious again, and

you have to show whomever you watch it with...

First saw this error in '98, just remembered it. Noone else i've ever spoken to has ever seen it.
