When Nick and John are in the hangar with their pistols pointing at each other, they both say the other has only one round, however, after arguing back and forth, Nick finally pulls the trigger on his pistol to kill john and nothing happens. If the pistol had really been emptied, the slide would have stayed to the rear after the last bullet had been fired - letting Nick know that his weapon did indeed need reloading. One could say that the weapon misfired but hardly likely - especially those custom-built pistols - nice.
