Pulp Fiction - This One Time on Cops...
First and foremost, one must remember Vincent's [in]famous conversation with Mr. Winnfield about the pilot to Mia Wallace's short-lived television show, in which he clearly illustrates that he does not watch TV. This is important.
Later, after the thug unloads his Magnum on them [hitting nothing] and Jules is convinced that they have just witnessed a miracle, Vince backs up his "freak occurrence" argument by making reference to an episode of Cops in which a guy unloads his automatic pistol on an officer, hitting nothing.
So much for not watching television.

This isn't really a slip-up, because you never hear Vincent say that he knew of the series, nor does he say that he doesn't. For all we know, Vince have never seen the show, he just don't want to make a big deal out of it.

Ah, but he plainly says that he SAW it on Cops one time. Go back and watch the scenes in question before challenging a person's statements next time, hm?

Ok, maybe he DOESN'T watch TV, but he was at someone's house who DOES, and saw it there, while discussing other business.
