When they kidnapp his daughter and he rolls down the hill in his **motorless** 4x4 and then lands upside down, his car catches on fire and... wait a minute. A 4x4 catches on fire now, with what!
His 4x4 was not motorless...they diabled the engine, but it was still there as was the tank of gas.
Of particular note, though, when the 4x4 jumped the road, you will notice exhaust smoke from the tailpipe even though the engine was "not capable" of starting.
