In the middle point of the movie, Ann and her mother are in the bedroom watching television. When the camera pans over to the television it passes the phone that is obviously not cordless. At that same time Susan Surandon (mother) is talking on the phone and passes it to Natalie Portman (Ann). Then you see Ann with the phone on the bed. Yet they never picked up the phone or moved it from beside the television.
