Final Destination - French in New York?
At the beginning of the movie when the class is entering the airport, there is an announcement made over the airport intercom in French, and the teacher asks them to translate it. what?? they don't make French announcements in NYC at JFK airport!! and when Alex is going to check in his bag, the lady is speaking with a French accent! yeah right, guys, we're not in France yet! they don't speak French in an American airport!!

Yes they do. The people who work at places like check in work for the airline, not necessarily at a particular airport. Also, they do speak the language of the places that they're going to over the speaker system - else if you didn't speak English, how would you know when your flight was leaving? Think about it, they do this in planes for the safety announcement as well.
