Start at the scene when the Terminator is shopping in the mini-mart. After he leaves the store, he walks out to the Vet truck and takes the tire iron off that he put on there earlier and takes Katherine Brewster out of the back. She starts to kick and scream, and Arnie puts her back in the truck, and John Connor follows. The Terminator closes the doors to the truck, but never puts the tire iron back on. You can see the truck drive away without it on the door handles. We then have the dialog scene between John & Katherine. The scene then cuts to an outside view of the truck driving away, and PRESTO! The tire iron is back on the rear door of the truck!
