When they cut to Great Britain and show the London street scene, all the cars have white rear number plates, whereas they should be yellow.

In the 60's the rear licence plates were white, not yellow, like today.

No they weren't. They were black, with silver writing, or from about 1964 you could choose the white-front/yellow-rear combo used today.
