In a "Quantum Leap" episode entitled "M.I.A.," much is made of the fact that it's April Fools Day 1969, although the overall tone of the episode is serious. Near the end of the episode, Sam is at the home of Al's wife, Beth. Al is missing in action in Vietnam, and Beth fears the worst. Sam goes over to a record player and puts on the Diana Ross & The Supremes song, "Someday We'll Be Together." It makes for a touching scene, but this record wasn't released until late-October or early-November of that year. "April Fool," indeed!
