Lord of The Rings: Fellowship of The Ring - Disappearing Chain
When Boromir tries to take the ring from Frodo, the ring is on the chain around his neck. He then puts it on and runs away. When he runs into Strider (Aragorn) and shows him the ring, it isn't on a chain. But when he is running away, the ring is back around his neck.

I think you should have your eyes checked because there was a chain on the ring when he showed the ring to Aragorn. This is NOT a slip-up!!

this isn't rocket science. a ring that is on a chain CAN come on and off, once its there it is not permanent.

Hey! I've seen this movie a 6 times, and I'm about to go see it 7 this weekend. But my mom and I also noticed that the ring is sometimes on a chain and sometimes not. But like someone already said, maybe he just keeps taking it off the chain and then puts it back on. It's possible! :o)
