World is Not Enough, The (007) - Wrong Navigation System
Late in the movie, 'M' is being held captive by Electra King. She manages to activate a Russian warhead tracking device that she had smuggled into the cell. Bond and company pick up the signal at a radio listening post. Bond makes the comment "It's GPS coordinates". Wrong! The tracking device came off a Russian warhead. Therefore it would not rely on the USA GPS system. Instead it would have used the Russian equivelent, Glonass.

No matter what it is called, it does the same job. Maybe Bond just said this to the other people because they would know what he meant.

I think they did that because viewers who aren't familiar with foreign satellite tracking systems would know what was going on.
