After the gang runs from the gypsy camp, when we return to the camp a arrow comes through the forest and hits a tree with a note from the huntsman basically saying he was going to kill them all.

The problem is that later, after the huntsman kidnaps Virginia, he tells her that his cross-bow is special, that the arrow doesn't stop until it hits the heart of something living. Now I know all the philosophical aspects that can be tied to it but a tree, a living thing, doesn't really have a heart...So, I guess his cross-bow malfunctions.

And before anybody says it, he didn't have two cross-bows!
