Sailor Moon - "I Call Upon the Power of Knights..."
Gotta give credit to http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/5976 for this one.
In Japan, Raye's Mars Fireballs Charge attack has pictures of Raye, fire and this creepy guy in armor. In "Last Resort" and "So You Want to Be in Pictures", it's there! They were supposed to delete it for 2 reasons:
1) It'd scare the living crap out of kids.
2) Parents would think it was a subliminal message.

The shadowy figure was supposed to be the Japanese god of fire. It was removed in the American version because they were afraid people would think it was the Devil. You're right, though, it is in 2 or more episodes.

The dub verson of this attack is a slip-up itself. In the Japanese version it is "akuryo taisan" and it means "evil demon begone" or something like that. it is a Japanese chant used to exorcise demons. In the dub they changed it to "I call apon the power of Mars, fireballs charge" when it has nothing to do with Rei being Sailor Mars. It also has nothing to do with fireballs (except for the fire/fire god flashing in the background) It comes from Rei being a Shinto pristest NOT Sailor Mars. as a matter of fact when she uses it when she is not Sailor Mars she said "I banish you monster now!" which is actually closer to the trainslation.

That is true, Rei usually uses her powers even when she is not Senshi. In Sailor Moon R (both sub and dub versions) Rei is in her school uniform when she feels some negative power

In the dub Sailor Moon R Movie: Promise of the Rose, Rei does say 'Evil Spirits Disperse!' when in the sub she says 'Evil Spirits be gone!'
