In the four car race, they start at the staring line, of course. But when they finish, all the same people who were at the start were at the finish. And the star/finish is the same line if you pay attention. Unless they can fly faster than Dom(so hot!) can race, they had to have gone in a circle, but it wasn't since they never turned. So they did two shots, one with the start/finish line and people and another for the actual race.
