In the beginning of the movie Nicole's father picks her up from school. In the car Nicole's father has the radio on and Nicole says "Is it necessary that we listen to James Taylor again?" I'm certain that the song on the radio is actually Jessica by the Allman Brothers.
She says do we have to "see" him again. This is pertaining to the fact that the father wants the family to see James Taylor in concert. Good ears on the radio though.
What Nicole actually says is "is it absolutely mandatory that we SEE James Taylor again." She was talking about going to see him in concert, not listening to his song on the radio.
