In the episode of The Golden Girls where they are fighting with their neighbors about a tree that needs to be taken care of, but isn't on their property, the neighbor and his wife come to appoligize. Sophia had supposedly put a spell on the neighbor and he comes over to beg her to take it off of him. After he leaves his wife stays and says that she had made all of the bad things happen to him because she wanted him to get rid of the tree. When she is talking to the girls, at first she has these big, gaudy earrings on but a few seconds later they're gone. The earrings were really noticeable, so you could tell that they hadn't taken them off on purpose.
