All throughout the movie, in the shots that The English Patient is burned, he is shown with very little tufts of hair. As I am a longstanding burn victim of almost thirteen years, I know that when you burn your skin that baldly, you would also in turn burn your hair folicals. Thus, you would have no hair...EVER!
