When the Winabego is in Mega Maid and using the infra-red scanner, Lone Star says the self-destruct thing is right below them, but when he flips the switch to show it on the radar, the infra-red picture moves to the side, and not down. Also, when Lone Star goes to check it out, the ladder is bolted to the ground, but not when it can still move up when escaping Mega Maid. The second one was probably for safety reasons, but the first was their mistake.
