This mistake occurs in the two episodes involving as the writers have deemed "The University of Las Cruces" better known to the people that go there New Mexico State University. Other than the name, they got the colors of the school wrong and the names of the dorms wrong. I for one felt that these were gross errs because they totally threw me out of the story.
