Invader Zim - Ever-Changing Irkin Invader Symbol
First episode-The Nightmare Begins
1. This happens many times throughout the episode. When Zim is landing his voot runner on Earth for the first time, the symbol on the back of the voot runner has a circular shape in the center. The next time it is shown, you can see that it has been changed to two eyes. After that, it magically changes back to the circular shape!
2. Also the lawn ornaments like to disappear and change places (pink puffer fish, and flamingo). The "I love Earth" flag likes to disappear too.

I'm not very familiar with invader zim, but I'm a big fan of the creator, Jhonen Vasquez. in his 'Johnny the Homicidal Maniac' comics he has this 'magically changing shirt image' theme, where the picture on Johnny's shirt changes almost every time you see it. so I think this is not a slip-up, he probably did it on purpose.

I am a huge fan of Invader Zim. The three "ever changing" irken symbols is probably not a slip up. I think it was intentional. There are three irken symbols all together. And for the lawn gnomes in the episodes Rise of the Zit boy Zim says,"Thanks for the information I have a few new lawn gnomes to plant." That means that he occasionally monitors the lawn gnomes which means he moves it around a lot.

Like InvaderRipto and pink punk said, it is intentional. In JTHM, the shirt on nny continually changes.

Zim put the "I LUV EARTH" flag up because humans would not find him suspicious, and later he takes it down because he has "fit in". Then, people trust him!

It's spelled "Irken", not "Irkin".
