Braveheart - Quick Trip to the Plastic Surgeon
When Wallace is caught and he is getting battered by all the English soldiers, you can clearly see that he has got a scar on his face from a previous battle. But when he looks up, the scar momentarily disappears. The camera cuts to the soldiers then back to Wallace, and the scar is there but is shorter than it originally was. The camera cuts back to the soldiers again and back to Wallac,e and only now is the scar back to its original size and position.

I doubt it very much. For a scene like that it would all have been done in the same day, so they wouldn't have to change the make-up. If it was still there it was the same, it never changed size its just how it was filmed or your eyes.
