Madness of King George, The - The Globe That Reads the Future
In the Movie, when the King and his advisors are in his office, and the King turns the globe to America and they are discussing the war between Britain and the United States, the map read United States. Not a problem you say, well actually....the war was the Revolutionary War and the time period for the movie is towards the beginning of the war. Thus, we can assume that the British hadn't given in and created globes that say THE UNITED STATES. Not only that, it was a modern map of the US, including all those purchases and creatively acquired lands that the US got once it became the United States.

The movie was set AFTER the war and that is why Mr. Pitt corrected him each time he harped about " the colonies ". Some belive that his loss of the colonies helped contribute to his illness.
