Escaflowne [, Vision of] - Confused?
In the 3rd episode of the uncut dub, or the 2nd episode of the Fox Kid's dub [I think], Van and Hitomi are taken to Allen's fortress after Allen beats Van in the duel. Van explains to Allen that Hitomi's from the 'Mystic Moon' [aka Earth], and Allen finally gives into the saying. After this, Van says "...so give me back my guymelef, and give me back my Escaflowne!" -the problem in this dub is that Escaflowne IS Van's guymelef. It would probably be better if they dubbed it "...so give me back my sword, and give me back my Escaflowne!" because, at the time, Allen was holding Van's sword.

Yeah, but on the English Fox Kids dub, it sounds more like he's saying: "So give me back Escaflowne, my guymelf!" or like they blurred a word in-between 'escaflowne' and 'my', because Van pauses at that point almost hinting a comma. Well, I could be wrong, or this horribly dubbed anime must be ringing in my ears.
