After Indy bumps into Adolf he gets Hitler autograph but Adolf spelled his name the English way and not the German way which is what Hitler really was.

Any basic history class will tell you that Hitler was Austrian, not German. However, the fact that he signed his name in English is still a slip-up.

How his name was spelled doesn't really matter. Most folks would have balked if the Hitler in the movie had spelled "Adolf" any other way. It's the same reason that everyone throughout all three movies was well-spoken in English, including the folks from Shanghai, India, etc...

i was just looking online at the book and it seems that its spelled Adolf Hitler. i couldnt find a single picture that showed any other spelling. ill have to keep researching and update.
