Buffy: The Vampire Slayer - Check Your Math Willow
In the episode "Halloween" when Buffy and Willow are sitting in the bathroom of the school reading one of the watcher's diaries they come across an entry from 1775 and Willow says "Angel was eighteen, and still human." But it has been established time and time again that Angel was born in 1727 and died in 1753. If you check the math you can see that the entry from 1775 was written 22 years AFTER angel died. And we always thought Willow was so good at math.

This happens in a lot of episodes. Virtually every episode in the first two seasons disagrees with the others. Another example is when Giles tells us that Angel is only 220 years old, when he is approaching 250!

Going along with the whole age thing, did anybody elso notice that Buffy has at least 3 different birthdays throughout the 7 seasons. (3 I was aware of anyway) In Season 2 when Willow's "boyfriend" searches the computer for Buffy's info, you see her birth year is 1979. Then when the scene switches, it says it is 1980, and then in Season 5 her grave reads 1981. So when was she born??

let's not forget people that the episodes are all written by different people, most of the time what happens is they are not entirely sure and will write down either what is best for the story or closest known and can be changed later, which often doesn't get changed through sheer forgetfulness. In the case of this slip up it was trying to establish what ladies wore at the time Angel was about the same age as Buffy.
