Toy Story 2 - Where's Andy's Sister? What About the Gas?
Andy, his mom and sister leave for Pizza Planet in the van. When they reach the gas station, Andy and his mom get out of the van and Andy asks to pump the gas.
They never get the baby sister out of the car. But Andy and Buzz are talking in the back seat... maybe she was asleep? that's the only thing I can think of.
But then, Andy and his mom come back out to the car, and never pump the gas.

Oops. I think you are supposed to post this slip-up in the Toy Story section, not the Toy Story Two section. I see it is you that has made the slip-up.

It's possible that someone was babysitting Molly at home.

No one was baby sitting Molly at home because later on you see her in the stroller at Pizza Planet. She was in the front seat (not very safe) because later on when they are moving from their old house to the new one she is shown and her car seat is in the front seat. It is possible that the mom DID pump the gas because Woody and Buzz are shown talking and it does not show what happened outside of the car.

It's a well known fact that babies/young kids have mad imaginations and added to the fact she couldn't talk to anyone, I don't think it matters if she did realize they were alive - she couldn't say anything. By the time she does learn to talk , she'll have forgotten anyway. Oh yea, both Toy Stories were fantastic films and the animators were nothing short of pioneers in the industry - taking it to new levels with computer aided animation so I really don't understand why people spend their time pulling it to pieces.... like to see someone else do any better....

This is not a slip-up. For starters, the reason you did not see Molly when Woody and Buzz were in the back seat fighting was because she was in the front seat of the car-across from the driver's seat. You can see her briefly when they pull into the gas station and when they pull into the driveway after returning from Pizza Planet. Also, you see her in her stroller at Pizza Planet. Remember when Woody tells Buzz, "OK on the count of 3 we're going to jump in the basket" (meaning Molly's stroller basket) when they are at Pizza Planet. So it is impossible that someone was baby-sitting her at home. They probably left her in the car while they were pumping the gas because it's a lot of work to unload and then load a baby into her car seat! When Woody and Buzz were fighting in the middle seat of the van while at the gas station, you probably did not hear them pumping the gas because Woody and Buzz were yelling so loud. Nonetheless, they pumped the gas just the same.

Well, if whoever was pumping the gas could see Molly through the window, what was the use of getting her out of the car?
