WWF Raw is War - Slip-Up in Vince McMahon's "I Bought WCW" Speech
During the speech that was simulcast on both Raw and Nitro on March 26, 2001, Vince McMahon said the following: "For the first time ever in sports entertainment history, this broadcast is not only being seen here on TNN in Cleveland Ohio, but it's also being seen across TNN. Turner Network Television." Vince said "TNN" twice. The second "TNN" should have been "TNT."
Yeah...I noticed this too! I just kinda did a double take and thought i was hearing things, but if you listen to EVERY speech Vince does, he ALWAYS messes something up! He needs to work on memorising this stuff
The T.V. show "Nitro" was shown on TNT. All of the other shows, Thunder, WCW Saturday Night, etc., were shown on TBS. But Nitro was on TNT. I used to watch the show a lot, and I'm positive it was on TNT. This particular simulcast that I'm referring to here was shown on Nitro, so it was shown on TNT.
As additional proof as to where Nitro was shown, I found an article on cnn.com that references Nitro on TNT. Since cnn is Turner owned, I think chances are likely that it's accurate.
Nitro was ALWAYS on TNT. Thunder, Saturday Night, and The Main Event were all on TBS. Not sure about WCW Pro and Worldwide, but I believe they were too.
