In the scene where the marshalls are chasing Harrison Ford in the ambulance, you see a two second shot of the dam, the one Ford is going to jump off. In these two seconds, you see that the water, coming out of the dam, doesn't move. It just hangs there while cars are passing. I don't know about VHS, but on DVD you can see this very clearly.
