Waterworld - Crude Oil to Gas...Magic? Plus, Cigarettes
First of all I was surprised not to see a longer list for this clunker of a movie. The things that bothered me most:
Bad guys have those jet skis, no shortage of gas, because they have a tanker full of crude oil. So how do they make the gasoline?
Also, they seem to have an endless supply of cigarettes... and the earth has been under water for how long? Their ancestors must have had the prescience to rob a tobacco factory and seal millions of cigarettes into ziploc bags or something...

Don't forget the can's of Spam, the bottle of Scotch, the magic markers (boy, they would have dried up years ago), the matches, the countless ammo for the guns, the guns themselves....shall I continue? All of this was on the bad mans ship.

Considering that the tanker was obviously highly modified from it's original form, (jet ski docks, rowing stations etc...) it's not too unreasonable to expect that they'd have a small refinery on board somewhere. Cracking crude oil into gasoline, kerosene, etc really isn't all that complicated.

About the unlimited ammo... I read the book and it said that the Smokers (bad guys) had started melting down parts of the 'Deez (ship) for use as bullets. That's why there are so many holes in the ship's side, allowing the Mariner to climb to the deck.

About the cigarettes. The earth didn't just get sunk under water over night, the water levels gradually got higher, so it wouldn't be too strange that some big boss decided to start collecting the novelty gag "cancer on a stick" for his underlings in some huge storage facility or maybe even in an arc in the form of an oil tanker... =)
