Independence Day - How's the Weather in the States?
Near the beginning, in the first scene with the President, his Secretary sits down with a copy of the USA Today in her hand. As she reads a headline off to the President, you can see the back of the paper, where a map of the US is shown with colors to indicate the temperature zones in the country. If you notice, the colors are all purple, blue, green, and yellow-- the colors that indicate COOLER temperatures. Wait a minute- isn't it supposed to be July?

To Triviamaster (and others): As an American, I can sufficiently state that it is NOT supposed to be cool in July *everywhere* in the country, as can be seen in this slip-up. If only someone could magnify the newspaper (and I'm talking *magnify* it), the date is probably sometime in autumn or early winter.

It's possible that this is not a slip-up, and was done intentionally to make the audience notice. Notice how all the alien spacecrafts caused shadows? They were blocking out the sun when they entered our atmosphere. Maybe my explanation doesn't make a lot of sense, but when was the last time aliens blew up the White House?
