When Elton John is put in the cage by Homer, Moe, and the others his hands are on the bottom of the cage but then the shot changes and Homer and the others walk away. His hands are then at the cage door.
To begin, it isn't over 10 days... Secondly, had you considered that Elton John can actually MOVE? After all, even you stated that it was in the next SCENE!
