Hannibal - Pay for Toll-Free Calls?
When that one foreign guy is on the pay-phone he calls someone and they give him the toll-free number to an attorney. He calls the attorney, not depositing any money(why would he, it's free) and after he hangs up you can hear coins dropping into the coin-box in the pay-phone.

The coins actually drop into the coin return tray at the bottom of the payphone. This is obvious as Pazzi picks them up at the end of his call.

How many calls did he make? Wasn't it 2? But then again he does walk away from the phone after he is done.

He does not take coins afterward and the sound is the movement of the coins to where they are held to where they are kept with the others.

No one actually answered his question. The question was "why do we hear coins dropping at the end of a toll free call?" I am sure our friend knew what the sound of coins dropping meant. The question is why.

It is not the sound of coins dropping but the sound of Inspector Pazzi putting the receiver down on the phone.
