Gumb wasn't living in Calumet City. Crawford and the FBI thought he was in Calumet City, and they stormed an empty house. He lived in West Virginia near his first victim, where there are mountains.

Right. And look in the background when they're storming the house in Calumet City and you'll see mountains.

rubytuesday - While it is true that there 'mountains' in southern Illinois, Calumet City is a suburb of Chicago, in northern Illinois.

Oops, Jame Gumb lived in Belvedere, Ohio. I said West Virginia on the last post. Either way, it's not Calumet City, and there are mountains in Ohio. So the mountains aren't a slip-up.

*ACTUALLY* there are "mountains" in southern Illinois - ever hear of Garden of the Gods? They are more like big hills though. While Illinois may not be known for hills, there are some there. :o)
