Pokemon: The First Movie - 2 Pokemon Mix-Ups and a Mistake
1)First one of the trainer going to Newisland had a Pidgeot(clearly by size and "hair") but keep calling it a Pidgeotto and talks like a Pidgeotto.(a translation mistake obviously)
2)Second in the cloning lab (dispise what the slip-up "Pokemon Screw up" says) the pokemon the see on the screen that the call Alakazam is a Syther. (another translation mistake)
3)Third when the originals explode out of the lab and Vaporeon walks across he has no fin on his tail.

If you saw pidgeot on the T.V he sounds just the same as pidgeotto anyway

fmc is right. In the new one called "Some slipups" I wrote a comment about the Alakazam slipup.

Mophead, not necessarily. Pidgeotto says his full name when he speaks. Pidgeot only says Pidgo. Therefore Pigdeotto and Pidgeot do not sound the same.

Team Rocket couldn't tell the difference between an omanyte and a totodile, why do you think they could between alakazam and scyther? That's a JOKE. It was put there on purpose.

Hey, know what, in the episode where Pidgeotto evolves, it still makes the same sound after evolution.

You mean Ash finally evolved the overgrown feather duster? It's about time! How long DOES it take to reach level 36 anyway?

Actually, it takes him about a year and a half. He thinks he can evolve it right away, but he is a shallow, spoiled brat. Hmm...sounds like WaySarcastic.

I know, it took like the whole season. No, longer! Keep in mind, through its entire career, the only thing Ash used Pidgeotto for was to pop Team Rocket's balloon... which, of course, got rediculously old after a while...

Actually in Japan the evolution line is Pidgy, Pidgiot(sp??), Pidgiotto(sp??), which makes some since as the name gets longer like the hair (I think). Anyways since Pidgiot evolves into Pidgiotto, when it evolved they didn't translate it so it was called pidgiotto, instead of pidgiot. The other possibility is that the trainer nicknamed his pidgy pidgiotto, which stayed with it when it evolved. Or the trainer is REALLY DUMB

Up above Mars Guo posted a message that started a "Ash evolved it?" discussion let me clear this up. If Pidgeotto had evolved then Ash would have gotten to the Pokemon League quicker. It would not have been a last minute entrance plus Pidgotto was tired when they did get there and couldn't fight but Pidgeot would not have been tired and would have been able to fight so Ash would not have used Charizard and lost. So they waited the evolution of Pidgeotto to Pidgeot so Ash would lose. (It all goes into a certain script and the Pokemon League will get back in the story [And ash would not have learned how he needed to be a better trainer])

Whatcha got against Mars? He knows lots about Pokemon! :?D So you're saying if Pidgeotto had evolved sooner, it would be able to carry Ash to the Pokemon League, but then Ash wouldn't have learned a lesson of defeat by using Charizard, tiring him out and being unable to do.... something. I'm sorry, but nobody knows which episode or whatever it is you're referring to.

Hey, no problem! Let me eat your cat! WAH! HA HA HAAA! Ahem... it is in my opinion that Scyther could have been the hero of the day! Picture it: Mewtwo blasts Scyther, who collapses to the floor. His trainer says: "I've been saving this for an emergency." And slips a Steel Coat on Scyther. POW! Scyther becomes Scizor. Scizor uses Steel Wing on Mewtwo, who has no defense against it. Mewtwo faints, chronicling the fall of the psychics. C'mon, you'd love it!
