Saving Private Ryan - Belted Ammunition
In a lot of different scenes, look at the belts of ammunition the American soldiers are carrying. On the back of the shell casings, you can clearly see that the primer pockets are empty. Since a primer is what the firing pin in the weapon strikes to discharge the round, it is painfully obvious that they are dummy rounds.
