About half way through the movie, German Sgt. Pluskat takes one last early morning look at the sea from inside a German pillbox on Omaha beach. As the fog lifts, he sees the Allied fleet through his binoculars. Clearly visible on the adjustment ring of the binoculars is "Made in Germany." It should say "Gemacht in Deutschland" unless it was made in Germany for sale in an English speaking country and somehow made its way back to the German army during the war which is unlikely.
